Eat What You Buy
Food-first coaching for ADHDers.
No shame. No diet. Just logistics, support, and food that actually works for your life.
Who This Is For
You’re smart, busy, and overwhelmed. Maybe you’re neurodivergent. Maybe you’re a teacher, a therapist, or a medical professional. You’re a kind person. You’ve tried to “eat better,” but you slide back into Dunkin’, takeout, or food guilt. You want to feel better — but you don’t know where to start.
This is for you if:
– You eat in your car more often than you like
– You want to eat better but don’t know what that means anymore
– You’ve been told what not to eat — but not what to actually buy or do
Hands-On Coaching
This is not a diet plan. This is a **real-life, no-shame, logistics-first coaching relationship** that helps you figure out how to actually eat.
Together, we’ll:
– Tour your fridge & pantry (on Zoom!)
– Grocery shop together (online)
– ️ Learn how to read ingredients (even if you eat everything)
– Build ADHD-friendly food routines
– ️ Create a weekly grocery cart you can actually stick to
– Check in between sessions when life gets messy
“Don’t focus on what to eat. Focus on what to buy. Eat what’s in your fridge and pantry. That’s where we begin.”
– No “good” or “bad” foods
– No elimination diets unless you want them
– No shame spirals — just recovery strategies
– No need to change your budget — we work with what you have
– If your sister brings home Oreos? Enjoy the cookies until they’re gone. Back to plan.
Meet Your Coach – Ayuko
Hi, I’m Ayuko. I’m not a doctor, dietitian, or nutritionist — and I won’t pretend to be. But I’ve lived with severe dietary restrictions due to hereditary autoimmune chronic pancreatitis for decades (until spontaneous remission in April 2024)— and I’ve helped hundreds of people navigate food with joy, not fear.
Yes, I’m Japanese, and I live in Japan. I’ve been cooking since I was 5. Also. I grew up as the only neurotypical person in an autistic and ADHD family of origin. Since 2015, I’ve written 936 blog posts on how to:
– Eat with medical and sensory restrictions
– Build a fridge that takes care of you
– Set up an optimal kitchen for you
– Travel, date, and live with food constraints
– Create a life that suits you

FAQ
Do I need to cook?
Nope. First, we focus on feeding you well. Cooking comes later — and only if you want it.
Do I need a big food budget?
No. We work with what you have.
What if I eat fast food all the time?
Good. That’s your starting point. I won’t judge — I’ll help.
Do you coach online?
Yes! All sessions are on Zoom. You can live anywhere.
What if my fridge is gross/empty/chaotic?
Perfect. That’s where we start. Your fridge is just a snapshot of life, not a reflection of who you are. No judgment, just help. And I promise: I can’t smell a thing from this side of the screen.
Can I really bring you to my supermarket?
Yes. That’s the point.
Do you offer trials or shorter versions?
Nope. I don’t offer “trials” anymore—because they haven’t worked well. My clients (and I) do so much better when we’re both all in.
That said, I totally understand the urge. A shorter trial feels safer. It feels faster, more doable. It feels like there’s less risk of wasting time or money if things go sideways.
But here’s the thing:
We’re not putting out a fire. We’re building something.
It took a long time to get here. And it takes time to build a habit that actually fits your real life. That habit will evolve, of course—but it’s something you’ll live with long after this coaching thing ends.
This isn’t about being perfect every week. You’ll get bored. You’ll get distracted. You’ll fall off track. We all do.
But you won’t be alone in that. That’s why I’m here.
Also, I do love the word experiment. This work is one. But it’s not a test you can pass or fail—it’s something we design together.
Let’s make food easier.
